EDUKASI MASYARAKAT MELALUI KISAH DAN NILAI FILOSOFIS NYIMAH PARIT UNTUK MENGATASI ISU LINGKUNGAN

Abstract

This study examines the values, meanings, and functions of the Nyimah Parit ritual and its implications for the socio-cultural structure of the Pangkal Babu community in Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. Using a qualitative approach through literature review, the research explores the religious, social, and cultural dimensions of the ritual. The findings reveal that Nyimah Parit serves as an expression of gratitude to God, a medium for strengthening social solidarity, and a means of preserving local wisdom. Symbolically, it reflects the community’s spiritual connection and balance in life. The ritual reinforces social integration and local cultural identity amid the dynamics of modernity.
